There is nothing like a bright pop of color on a gray day! This is an easy and feminine cowl made in a lovely shade of red. This is an easy pattern for those of you who crochet for charity. Wear it pretty or give it to someone else with joy.

Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Hot Red (1 skein)
Crochet hook size H

Blunt needle to sew ends and weave tails
Skill- Relatively easy.
Size- 7" W x 31 1/2" L,

With Hot Red and H hook, ch 29.
Row 1- Work 1 dc in 5th ch from hook, *skip next 2 chs, (make 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in next ch; repeat from * across. (9 V sts and ch spaces) Ch 4, turn (counts as first tr of next row).
Row 2- (Right side): Make 2 tr in first ch-1 space of first V St, *work 3 tr in next ch-1 sp, rep from * across. (27 sts) Ch 1, turn.
Row 3- Make 1 sc in each st across. (27 sts) Ch 4, turn (counts as first dc + ch 1).
Row 4- 1 dc in first stitch (completes first V Stitch), *skip 2 sc, 1 V St in next sc, rep from * across. (9 V Sts and ch spaces) Ch 4, turn (counts as first tr of next row).
Row 5- Make 2 tr in first ch-1 space of first V St, *work 3 tr in next ch-1 sp, rep from * across. (27 sts) Ch 1, turn.
Row 6- Make 1 sc in each st across. (27 sts) Ch 4, turn (counts as first dc + ch 1).
Repeat rows 4 to 6 for pattern, till piece measures 31 1/2" long, approximately (you can make it longer if you want to).
Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough to sew with and weave in ends.
Thred blunt needle with tail and sew piece into a tube. Weave remaining tail.
